worth a look: nearing the end

two weeks left in the semester so I’m sure you’ll understand if these entries are short. But here’s some stuff I’ve quickly noticed.

There was a front page story in the New York Times on the choice of a white director for the revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. It’s rare that something coming from the theater world hits the outside world and it’s one of those interesting and somewhat impossible to solve racial conflicts where no one is actually being racist but there is an obvious inequality.

In very different DC theater news The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall has been getting great reviews. I’m looking forward to taking a quick trip to DC in a few weeks to see it.  Theater J has been having a fantastic season and I’m so happy for them.

And speaking of new plays: you can write your own with this easy handy dandy chart.

And for spring, I love the colors and vintage goodness of these two girls (from Styleclicker.net).
